About Te Pou Ataahua

Building a stronger, more connected Aotearoa through community empowerment

Our Story

A journey of hope, healing, and community transformation

Te Pou Ataahua Charitable Trust was founded with a vision to create meaningful change in the lives of individuals, families, and communities across New Zealand. Our name, "Te Pou Ataahua," reflects our commitment to being a pillar of beauty, strength, and support within our community.

Based in Dunedin, we have grown from a small grassroots initiative into a trusted charitable organization serving diverse communities throughout Aotearoa. Our work is grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, honoring the partnership between Māori and the Crown while celebrating the rich cultural diversity that makes New Zealand unique.

Through coaching, training, wellness seminars, and targeted support for vulnerable groups—particularly youth and low-income families—we strive to reduce inequalities, promote holistic well-being, and create safe spaces where everyone can thrive.
